DUTIES

The Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development Corporation is an organization whose mission is to promote economic development within the City of Sault Ste. Marie. The function of the EDC is to assist businesses within our geographical area to get started, and also to succeed and grow, helping to develop economic growth.

MANAGEMENT

Economic Development Corporation consists of 9 board members appointed by the Mayor with confirmation of the City Commission.

MEETINGS

Meetings are scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month at 12:00 pm in the EDC Board Room at the Smartzone. However, they can be cancelled or rescheduled if necessary. The Board meetings are governed by the latest edition of Roberts’ Rules of Order.
